This assignment we had to create a custom race advertisements for either a Nascar race, Dirt biking race, or Motor Sport race,
The direction I went with this assignment was with the Talladega Super SpeedWay race due to that this race is considered to be one of the most exiting races in Nascar, to start with this project, I first had to select the car and then clean up any sponsors or rough areas that needed to get fixed or remove. Now with this project my professor added a twist with the selections, the harder the car you choice form his list the better mark you would Receive , so naturally for a well deserved challenged I went for one of the more difficult ones on the list. So one I removed all of the sponsors and clean up of the car using different tools within Photoshop I then moved forward in design an instructing background for the overall concept of the race. But before doing that, I wanted to look at pervious work from people in the industry to understand what they have done to help and advertise the race and what I could do to give the same appeal. Ones I understood what they did by looking at different imagery I was then ready to start my background. I first wanted to start with my horizontal one due to the fact I would find it a little more easier to transfer the highlight areas over to the vertical banner a bit more. I was able to do the banners design by using numerous of different imagery found online and photo bashed them tougher to give off a feel of the racer going onto the track. I also had to figure out what sponsors I should include into the design that would not only promote the race but the companies within the cars design.
