For this project, I was tasked with designing a craft beer logo, label, and creating advertisements with at least one
of the beers.
To understand this project, I would first have to understand what makes craft beer unique. I learned that every craft beef is different; therefore, the branding also needs to be just as unique. After creating the labels and logos, it was time to choose the ones to move forward with. The moment I made those numerous changes, it was finally time to design the advertisements. The difficulty that I encountered was deciding which way to proceed. Should the advertisements relate to the name, a background of a live image, or nothing at all? By the end of the project, I decided to do both. I made one that would relate colorfully to the beer flavors I envisioned, and one that appeared to look like it was in the water. Doing this project made me really think about what is important when it comes to designing bottle labels, and how to design them appealing to those individuals who enjoy that type of beer.
